  6. I think you have South Beach confused with Atkins.You can have carbs & a large amount of veggies on Phase 1 of south beach. Natural Peanut Butter. Non-fat plain yogurts, milk, nuts, V-8 juice all have carbs. So do a lot of the vegetables on Phase 1. Only vegetables to avoid on Phase 1 are starchy potato, corn, carrot vegetables. I have a very large chicken salad everyday for lunch with bellpepper, spring lettuce, spinach, broccoli, cucumber, mushrooms, cabbage, snap peas. Lots of veggies!
