Update: June 27, 2011: Jury Convicts Rod Blagojevich on 17 of 20 Counts.

(Note: Rod Blagojevich was impeached by the Illinois House of Representatives on January 9, 2009, and was subsequently removed from office on January 29, 2009, by a unanimous 59–0 vote in the Illinois State Senate. Governor Blagojevich’s removal from office occurred one month to the day after the seven photos in this series were taken of his Springfield office.)

This view looks back toward the Governor’s desk and the entrance to his office. To the left of the doorway is a small computer workstation, which is the only piece of furniture in the office which looks out of place.

You are invited to stay and browse through my stream. Here’s a quick index to my little corner of Flickr:

Automobile Photographs
: This is a very large collection of images whose primary, but not exclusive, focus is on American automotive classics. Images are organized by decade, by manufacturer, and by topics (such as convertibles, station wagons, muscle cars, etc.)

Central Illinois (except Springfield)
: Central Illinois (except Springfield): Photos relating to the middle section of the "Land of Lincoln" (except for the Capital City of Springfield) may be found in this collection. Every city and town I’ve photographed is contained within its own set, and rural (as in "countryside") photographs are grouped by county.

Springfield, Illinois
: All of my photographs of Springfield and the Abraham Lincoln Sites are in this collection. For the City of Springfield, there are separate sets for the Capitol Complex, Downtown (including the Old State Capitol), Neighborhoods, Parks, Illinois State Fairgrounds and more. Photographs of Lincoln sites include the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln Home National Historic Site, Lincoln Tomb, and so on. Also in the Lincoln "All About Abe" (Set) are a few Lincoln sites not located in Springfield.

The Illinois State Fair
: My collection of photographs of the Illinois State Fair. The fair offers something for everyone. Grab a corn dog and lemon shake-up, and come take a look!

Beyond Central Illinois
: Other locales in the United States and Canada including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle.

In addition to my location-based sets, here are links to some "topical" collections and sets I’ve put together:

Barbers & Barber Shops
: Traditional barbers and barber shops are on the endangered species list. But there are still plenty to be found if you go looking for them.

Almost Everything Else. Check It Out!!!
: Included topics range from man’s first walk on the moon to small town schools and churches, and from Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers (our favorite breed) to things that are abandoned, neglected, weathered, or rusty.

When it comes to building muscles, there is a lot more to it than weight lifting and hitting the gym. There are many factors that contribute to your body’s ability to build muscle. In this article, you will learn tips and techniques for getting maximum results from your muscle building efforts.

Like any other strength training exercise, squats require good form. Choose a point on the back that is centered between the traps and lower the bar there. Your hips, glutes and hamstrings will have to work harder and this will allow you to squat more weight.

Don’t overexercise – only workout three or four times per week. By limiting your weekly workouts, you give your muscles time to recover from the intense exercises. If you overwork your body you have a greater chance of getting an injury and then needing to take time off to let it heal.

Make your bicep curl better. When most people perform these curls, they fail to glean the full benefits because they do not move the bar or weight beyond the parallel point. But, when it comes to bicep curls, the strongest part is the top half. Perform seated barbell curls to correct this.

Make sure your form is correct. Simply picking up some weights and lifting without proper form will not build muscle effectively, and can even result in injury. When you do an exercise for the first time, do it facing a mirror for the first few sets. This helps you verify that you are doing it correctly.

When building additional muscle mass, be sure that your diet includes plenty of protein. The process through which your body stores protein is known as protein synthesis. This is the process where muscles grow bigger and stronger. You’ll find protein in many natural sources such as meat, fish, beans and dairy.

You should establish a training routine that is adapted to your goals. Repeating the same exercises daily may get routine, but experts say it is an excellent means to increase good muscle mass. Replacing or adding exercises will come with time, especially if you do get so bored you want to quit.

Planning out and keeping a wise schedule for your workout regimen means you can grow your muscles while minimizing your risk of injury. Newcomers to the world of muscle building must restrict themselves to two intense workouts weekly, whereas experienced fitness buffs can perform three such workouts every week.

Focus your weight-training regimen on squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. These three exercises make up the core of a solid bodybuilding routine for good reason. Each will build your strength, and therefore your muscle mass, while also improving muscle condition. Include at least one of these exercises in every single workout you do.

If you’ve never tried weight training before, then you might do best at a gym. Not only will a gym have lots of different kinds of exercise equipment that will maximize your ability to get into shape, there are also experienced professionals who can show you how to build your body. You will have the ability to seek assistance whenever necessary.

Alter your diet to go with your training. You need to do things like increasing protein and avoiding foods rich in fat. Muscle building is not a free pass to eating more; you still need a balanced diet. You need to consider taking protein supplements and vitamins in order to aid you in building muscles quicker.

You might be surprised by how easy it is to use this advice to improve your current muscle building routine. The next step now that you have the necessary information is to begin your program as soon as possible. By starting soon, you’ll soon start to see results and stay motivated.
