Gluten Sensitivity & nutritional deficiencies.mp4

www.glutenfreesociety.org One of the biggest delays in healing that patients with gluten sensitivity face has to do with the deficiency of vitamins, minerals, and other dietary nutrients. Many doctors check their patients for iron deficiency, but fail to check other essential nutrients like calcium, magnesium, selenium, zinc, chromium, B-vitamins, etc. Failure to address nutritional deficiencies can lead to delayed healing and delayed response to a gluten free diet.

  1. If I’m dealing with some type of gluten sensitively (not necessarily Celiac Disease), does it automatically mean that I’m not absorbing a lot of my liquid nutrients I’m dilligent about making sure I take daily to optimize my vitamin and mineral levels? Is there a way to know to what extent the malabsorption is occuring? That’s very disconcerting. Even a brief response would be appreciated.

  2. One of my twin boys has excema real bad that was not going away with his cortison/fucidan cream, has turned into a secondary infection and is now on antibiotics. This is a constant struggle for him and he is the one who is sick the most and is sick longer then his siblings.
